Therapeutic Yoga in Barnham Broom

At: Barnham Broom Village Hall
When: Fridays 10:00am–11:15am

Therapeutic Yoga at Barnham Broom Village Hall runs on Friday mornings as the strongest class of its kind on the schedule. At 75 minutes it is longer than the standard Hatha class, and the extra time is used deliberately: poses are held until the body actually responds, pranayama and supported savasana are built in towards the end, and there is room for individual adjustments that a shorter class simply cannot accommodate.

The group is small, eight to twelve students, and notably committed. Most attend at least one other Blossom class during the week, which means the Friday session can go deeper. Ania can give genuinely individual guidance: a different variation for one student, a prop suggestion for another, a hands-on adjustment where it helps. Real, tangible progress is the norm here rather than the exception.

Students bring their own mats; cushions and straps are there to take if useful. The class is not designed around injury, but it is fully accessible to those working with one. Ania sends a short health questionnaire before your first session so nothing catches either of you off guard. Students come in from Barnham Broom, Kimberley, Wymondham, Honingham, Mattishall and Norwich.

About Therapeutic Yoga

What the practice involves

Therapeutic Yoga is a longer, smaller-group practice built around careful, unhurried movement. At 75 minutes it gives time that a standard class cannot: poses held until the body responds, individual variations offered to each student, and pranayama or a supported savasana at the close. Classes are kept to eight to twelve students so Ania can watch closely and adjust. The practice is fully accessible to those working with injuries or health conditions, but it suits anyone who wants depth, individual attention and real progress over time.

Students typically find it helps with

  • Improves mobility without loading injured or painful areas
  • Rebuilds strength after surgery, illness or extended rest
  • Regulates the nervous system: eases anxiety, improves sleep
  • Supports women through menopausal symptoms including hot flushes and joint ache
  • Softens long-standing back, neck and shoulder tension
  • Restores confidence in movement
FAQs

Therapeutic Yoga at Barnham Broom

When does the class run?

Fridays, 10:00am to 11:15am. The school-run traffic has cleared and the hall is properly settled by then.

Do I need an injury or health condition to join?

Not at all. The class suits anyone who wants a longer, more considered practice with genuine individual attention. It is fully accessible to those working with injuries or health conditions, but many students simply come because they prefer what a 75-minute, small-group class allows: time to settle, time to progress, time to be seen.

How does this differ from the Monday Hatha Yoga at the same venue?

Same hall, longer class: 75 minutes rather than 60. Therapeutic runs in a smaller group of eight to twelve, which means more time for individual guidance and tailored variations. Many students attend both in the same week.
