Therapeutic Yoga in Honingham

At: Honingham Village Hall & ProActive Therapies
When: Mondays 9:30am–10:45am

Therapeutic Yoga at Honingham Village Hall runs on a Monday morning in one of the quietest, most comfortable village halls I teach in. The sprung wooden floor is kind to knees and hips, the heating is on well before class starts, and the room is spacious enough that every student has an uncluttered mat space with a cushion and strap within reach. Because Honingham is also the home of the therapy clinic (ProActive Therapies is just down the road), students working through injury, post-surgical recovery or chronic pain often combine a class here with a one-to-one session or craniosacral treatment in the same morning. The class itself is a slower, more supported practice than the Hatha sessions: careful warm-ups, accessible variations, long restorative holds. And the group is small enough (eight to twelve) that Ania works individually with almost every student. It is particularly loved by older beginners, women working through menopausal symptoms, and anyone rebuilding after a tough run of health.

About Therapeutic Yoga

What the practice involves

Therapeutic Yoga is a longer, smaller-group practice built around careful, unhurried movement. At 75 minutes it gives time that a standard class cannot: poses held until the body responds, individual variations offered to each student, and pranayama or a supported savasana at the close. Classes are kept to eight to twelve students so Ania can watch closely and adjust. The practice is fully accessible to those working with injuries or health conditions, but it suits anyone who wants depth, individual attention and real progress over time.

Students typically find it helps with

  • Improves mobility without loading injured or painful areas
  • Rebuilds strength after surgery, illness or extended rest
  • Regulates the nervous system: eases anxiety, improves sleep
  • Supports women through menopausal symptoms including hot flushes and joint ache
  • Softens long-standing back, neck and shoulder tension
  • Restores confidence in movement
FAQs

Therapeutic Yoga at Honingham

When does the class run?

Mondays, 9:30am to 10:45am, early enough that students who want to combine with a Monday therapy appointment at ProActive can do so comfortably.

How does this compare to the Friday Therapeutic class at Barnham Broom?

Same teaching approach and pace. Different venue, different day, slightly different community feel: Barnham Broom tends to draw from the Wymondham/Dereham side of Norfolk; Honingham draws from Norwich and the closer villages. Both work equally well.

Can I have a one-to-one therapy session after class?

Yes, many students do. Book an 11:30am or later appointment at ProActive Therapies and you’ve got a clean half hour between the two. Get in touch and I’ll help you schedule.

Ready to try Therapeutic Yoga in Honingham?

First visit is unhurried. Send Ania a message and she’ll confirm the next class that works for you.
