A one-to-one with Ania is the fastest way to build a practice that actually fits your body. Before the session, a short health questionnaire is sent out and discussed, so by the time we meet we already know your history, your concerns and what you want to work on. That means we go straight to the mat when we begin, with a session that is tailored to you from the first minute.

Every pose is introduced carefully, with variations to match what your body can do today and a second variation to grow into over the coming weeks. You leave with a written sequence, photographed if helpful, that is short enough to do at home most days and comprehensive enough to cover what you need. Follow-up sessions revisit and adjust that sequence as you progress, poses added, variations refined, difficulty nudged up or down.

In-person sessions happen at ProActive Therapies in Honingham: a quiet, well-equipped treatment room with plenty of space and full prop selection. Online sessions are held via Zoom and work remarkably well; the focus and personalisation translate entirely. Most students book a short initial package of 6 sessions, and then either continue, or join a group class.

One-to-ones are particularly valuable for students with complex histories, multiple injuries, chronic conditions, post-surgical recovery, specific competitive-sport demands, or significant past trauma where a private setting is kinder. Some students come simply to gain the confidence to join a group class. They are also an excellent gift for a partner or parent who has been meaning to try yoga but finds group classes intimidating.

What to expect

Before your first session, Ania sends a short health questionnaire. By the time you arrive, she already knows your background and you go straight to the mat. The session runs 60 minutes, and from the very first class the sequence is built around what your body needs. You leave with that routine written up (and photographed if useful), short enough to do at home most days. Follow-up sessions revisit, refine and extend the practice as you progress. Online sessions work in exactly the same way via Zoom.

FAQs

Questions about One-to-One

How many sessions will I need?

Most students start with a single session or a block of six to establish a practice. After that, many come in monthly or quarterly to tune the practice as their body or life shifts. A handful of students work one-to-one indefinitely.

Is this covered by health insurance?

Some private health insurers will cover it when referred by a GP or physiotherapist, but you should check with your provider. I can provide receipts suitable to support your insurance claims.

Can I switch between in-person and online?

Yes, many students do. Some take their first session in person at Honingham and follow up online once they have the core sequence.

Do you work with pregnancy?

Yes, with appropriate trimesters and for students already practising. Please mention pregnancy when booking.

What if I’ve never done yoga before?

One-to-one is an excellent way to begin. You get the vocabulary, the alignment and the confidence you need to either continue privately or step into a group class already knowing what you’re doing.
