Lomi Lomi Nui Massage
Deeply nurturing Hawaiian bodywork, long, flowing rhythms that hold, release and restore.
Lomi Lomi Nui is not like any other massage you will have had. It arrives from a different tradition, the old Hawaiian healing lineage, and it works to a different intention. Where Classic or Clinical massage work specific muscles and specific issues, Lomi Lomi works the whole human being, moving across the body in long, continuous, wave-like rhythms that somehow manage to settle not just the muscles but the part of you that has been tightly wound for weeks.
The practitioner uses forearms and hands in long, fluid, unbroken strokes. There are no distinct “moves” to feel; the session runs as one continuous flow, moving between areas without the usual stop-start. The quality of contact is unusually consistent, one stroke will begin at the heel and end between the shoulder blades, another will travel the length of the arm without breaking contact. Many people describe the effect as being held, cradled, or simply met.
Ania trained in Lomi Lomi Nui within the traditional Hawaiian lineage and holds the work with the seriousness it asks for. The room is warm, the oil is generous, the music is quiet, and the pace is slow. Sessions run from 60 minutes. Many clients are quiet for hours afterwards; some cry, softly, during the session; some sleep for ten or twelve hours that night.
The work is particularly loved by women moving through major transitions, by anyone whose nervous system has been running hot for too long, and by people for whom the ordinary language of “having a massage” undersells what they need. It is not the right treatment for targeted pain or specific injury (Clinical Massage does that job). It is a treatment for the whole tired person.

What to expect
Undress to underwear; you are always modestly covered throughout. Lie on the warm couch, often face down to begin. Warmed oil is applied generously. Long, flowing strokes begin and continue, moving in wave-like rhythms across the body. There is little conversation during the session. Plan the rest of your afternoon gently.

On Lomi Lomi Nui
"The Lomi Lomi massage is extraordinary. It felt less like a treatment and more like being held. I came off the table in tears, the good kind, and slept for ten hours that night."
"I booked the Lomi Lomi at a very low point. Something about the description felt right. I cried twice on the table and neither time did Ania make it awkward. It was one of the kindest hours I have spent. I have been back four times since."
"I didn't really knew what to expect. My wife book it for me as birthday suprise. I was thinking it will be same as normal massage but it is completley different thing. Very flowing, very peaceful. I was half asleep for the whole time. I will definitley come back."
