Retreats in West Lexham

At: West Lexham Manor
When: Saturdays, 9:30am–5:30pm

Retreat days at West Lexham Manor are the most deeply-loved events in the calendar. A Saturday given over to one place, one group and one thoughtfully-paced day, held in an extraordinary setting of walled gardens, ancient woodland and a spring-fed eco-pool. Arrival from 9:30am with tea in the garden. Ninety-minute morning yoga in the beautiful Orangerie, our base for the day. A long, nourishing seasonal lunch at the refectory table, with time to swim in the pool or river and explore the grounds. Restorative yoga and guided meditation in the afternoon. Tea and snacks are provided through the day. Gentle goodbyes at 5:30. The venue does half the work before Ania speaks a word; the day does the rest. Drive in is 35 to 60 minutes from Norwich depending on route; consensus from returning students is that the day is worth it every time. Places are limited to 12 to 15 and dates fill quickly.

West Lexham, King’s Lynn, PE32 2QN

Parking

Generous free on-site parking at the Manor, on gravel within the grounds. Plenty of space for retreat-day numbers.

Accessibility

The main practice space has level access. The wider gardens and woodland are gently undulating, please tell Ania in advance if you have mobility needs so she can arrange accommodation close to the practice space.

A local tip

Castle Acre is a lovely detour on the way in or back: priory ruins, village green, a good pub. If you’re driving from Norwich via the A47, you can come in via Swaffham and out via Castle Acre to make a proper day of it.
